What Did MOSI Need?
The parking lot at MOSI, Tampa’s Museum of Science & Innovation (still the Museum of Science and Industry when we did this job), had worn, faded lines, and the accessible parking out front had washed out symbols. With redevelopment of the property coming, the museum had paused other renovations. The lot still needed to be safe and easy to navigate for visitors in the meantime.
What Did Radiant Striping Do?
Our crew restriped the lot, more than 100 parking spaces, in one evening after the museum closed for the day. We also repainted the ADA parking (the accessible parking symbols and the access aisle hatching), the directional arrows, the yellow curbs and the no parking zones with their NO PARKING lettering, and we patched a couple of potholes. The museum kept its normal hours, and staff arrived the next morning to a finished lot.

Why Did This Job Matter to Us?
Our owner, Mario Lentsch, grew up visiting MOSI. He served in the Air Force, then started Radiant Striping in his hometown. On a visit with his own kids, he noticed how worn the lot out front had become and reached out to the museum.
His parents, Tommy Lentsch and Anita Lentsch, brought him to MOSI throughout his childhood. They came to watch that evening, and he showed each of them how to stripe one of the spaces.

What Did MOSI Say?
MOSI’s President and CEO, John Graydon Smith, shared the work in his weekly email to the museum’s board and staff. He wrote that visitors would notice “a smoother ride in, as well as a more clearly defined parking experience,” and he closed with a line we are proud of: “he gets the MOSI seal of approval.”
